Step 1: open the target SWF that you want to edit
Launch Sothink SWF Decompiler for Mac, and then from “Explorer” panel, navigate to the folder in which the target SWF file locates.
Choose the SWF that you want to decompile, and then it will begin to play in the central preview window.
Now the SWF you selected is listed in the “Single File Export” window of the “Export” panel. When you click the sign, all the SWF elements will be decompiled automatically and displayed by category.
Step 2: edit SWF elements
Currently, Sothink SWF Decompiler for Mac support replacing image/shape/text/sound resources. In this tutorial, we will replace an image for the SWF file.
At first, you need to check the image that you want to replace.
Now click the “Edit” button on the toolbar, and then an edit box will appear.
Navigate to choose the image that you want to replace the current one.
Now the image has been replaced successfully, and it is marked with an “*” sign. All the edit function related buttons are become activated now, you can choose to save or discard your changes.
Step 3: save the edited SWF as a new Flash movie
If you are satisfied with the alterations to the SWF file, you can directly click “Save” button to save the changes, or click “Save as” to save the edited SWF file as a new Flash movie.
