  2. I’ve been doing some websites lately using jquery for my navigation menus.

Are there any examples/videos to see the menu builder in action?

I have a site I’m expanding that I’d like to use it on. Right now it only has my menu as a bullet list.

Obviously the one day deal is finished but would still be interested.

  3. Hi!

I know this page may be a bit outdated but I found it through the searchengines and wonder if it’s still possible to order these discounted Flash Authoring Tools described above?

  4. How does DHTML Menu compare to the DHTML menu builder from CoffeeCup? I don’t think CC supports IE9 yet, but that’s not enough to convince me to go the sothink option, especially as IE is losing ground quite quickly to the likes of firefox and google chrome.
As you probably know CC is free, where as sothink is $65 – apart from obvious better support, what benefits should convinve me to go the Sothink route?
    Thanks for your help

  5. @ Mike:

I prefer Coffecup after testing them both out but I guess it is just a matter of taste. Just like coffee :)

    No, seriously: CoffeCup is great!

No offense intended to you but obviously you get what you pay for. Free is definitely not the way to go in most cases.

I tried Coffee Cup out many times building my web sites, and personally, I found it an absolute nightmare to work with.

There were far to many quirks and buggy features in it for my liking. Either that, or my computer simply didn’t like it.

It seemed I would have to re-do and try many times just to get certain elements to work.

It’s certainly not my “Cup Of Coffee”:-)

  7. I’ve been using jquery, CC for some of my projects but would like to see a demo of Sothink products. Are there any video demos to view? Are there any promotions currently? Thanks for any feedback.

  9. Hi
I am interested in the web scroller. A friend put me onto this site but told me there was a free version available? I’m assuming that if there was a free version there would be some functional limitation. If so, what limits would there be? Would I still have access to all the fonts, images etc? Any advice would be appreciated.

  10. I have been using Swishmax as a means to create flash trivia games at my site. Although it is adequate, I sure would like to have an opportunity to see if your product fares better.

It would be great if you offered a discount for those that own a similar flash product.

  11. Martin,

The homepage of SoThink continually posts discounts and deals on most of their products. You can contact the sales dept there.

  13. As Mike says, it would be be great to see a breakdown of the comparative benefits between CC and sothink, when you guys get a chance.

I’ve been using the Xsite CMS to build sites, but due to code-bloat that it seems to create, I really need to be going down the road of using some more “professional” methods.

It will be great if you have any new offers like the one on this page, as well!

  14. I notice from the dates of most of the comments most people are too late. It is funny when some of these posts show up in the search engines that they may be a bit out of date. As one poster said above free is not the way to go, usually. However I do find exceptions to the rule, gimp is a great little tool as well as Jing, both which are free.

  15. “No offense intended to you but obviously you get what you pay for. Free is definitely not the way to go in most cases.”

Well I totally agree with the sentiment that paid is the way to go. For so long I would always seek out the cheapest (read “free”) option for anything I was doing, but the results were always suboptimal.

And usually trying to get the damn thing working was about as much fun as gout

Now I will nearly always go for a paid option over a free one. The only exception being if someone I trust recommends the free tool!

    Cheers

  16. Wow, kinda bummed that this is still showing up in the search engines, looks like I missed the sale by only a year and two months!

My buddy was looking for a decent web scroller for his site and I was trying to help out. Will still try to track the product down, even though it probably won’t still be 50% off.
