Wow, kinda bummed that this is still showing up in the search engines, looks like I missed the sale by only a year and two months!

My buddy was looking for a decent web scroller for his site and I was trying to help out. Will still try to track the product down, even though it probably won’t still be 50% off.

Well I totally agree with the sentiment that paid is the way to go. For so long I would always seek out the cheapest (read “free”) option for anything I was doing, but the results were always suboptimal.

And usually trying to get the damn thing working was about as much fun as gout

Now I will nearly always go for a paid option over a free one. The only exception being if someone I trust recommends the free tool!

I notice from the dates of most of the comments most people are too late. It is funny when some of these posts show up in the search engines that they may be a bit out of date. As one poster said above free is not the way to go, usually. However I do find exceptions to the rule, gimp is a great little tool as well as Jing, both which are free. Jim @ Easy Woodworking

As Mike says, it would be be great to see a breakdown of the comparative benefits between CC and sothink, when you guys get a chance.

I’ve been using the Xsite CMS to build sites, but due to code-bloat that it seems to create, I really need to be going down the road of using some more “professional” methods.

It will be great if you have any new offers like the one on this page, as well!
