Still hesitate for selecting the best Flash SWF to FLA converter programs? Here you can take reference to some user’s comments on using Sothink SWF Decompiler; all below should assist you to make the right choice. Let’s check out the user comments from The famous Giveaway of the Day site to see if Flash decompiler is the ideal program, which is exactly the same with your imagination.

Below are user comments

1. I have used this SW before, and I used it to perform several tasks:
To take out music (mostly MP3) and Video (various formats) that are embedded in the SWF file.
To “borrow” some nice code and graphics from SWF files, for my personal use (not commersial).
To learn more about making nice SWF files and writing ActionScript code.

Comment by KAS

2. I own most of Sothink’s products and can vouch for their quality and customer support. This one is no exception, so grab it, especially since it’s free today and Sothink’s pricing is always going up.

Comment by gmon

3. Top notch product. Installed it, found it easy to use, and was able to quickly decompile one of my own Flash files. It created an excellent replica of my source code – definitely a useful tool to keep in one’s arsenal. Thanks, Sothink and GAOTD!

Comment by Clint

4. I can’t speak in any technical terms with regards to this offer because I just don’t do a lot with flash video filed. But, with it being so well received I decided to install it for later use.
I downloaded the trial from the publishers website & used the key from the GOTD download to register it. It worked fine & I didn’t have to run anything as administrator on my Vista (32 bit) system. Not the setup (EXE) or the application after install & register. It just works fine, doesn’t appear to have made any modifications to anything else on my system & didn’t cause any software conflicts..
To my way of thinking, that makes it a true Vista compatible piece of software. It’s expensive to buy, free here today & it is the latest release. It should be a handy tool, especially for those that do a lot with flash video files. It looks to be profesionally designed & has many options/tools.

5. This is excellent software. I purchased a copy back when it was version 3. A friend of mine had a flash movie on her website and she wanted to change the phone number on it. Unfortunately the person who made the flash was nowhere to be found and she had never been given the .fla files. The SoThink SWF Decompiler saved the day. Now we are bff’s and she thinks I am a genius. That’s a laugh! Anyway, I just wanted to encourage everyone to try this software. It’s worth the money they charge for sure and for free WOW. Sometimes, I decompile movies just to learn how they are made. When I see something I have never tried before I decompile them and try my hand at reconstucting them. Great training tool when you want to keep your skills sharp. Also, just so you know, I had a time getting the download for the swfcatcher.xpi file which is required to install the catcher on Firefox. Click the download link for it and you will get some “chrome” files and some other stuff but no .xpi. You must use this link to get the .xpi -http://www2.sothink.com/download/swfcatcher.xpi – Took me a while to find it. But, it was worth the effort. Thanks very much GAOTD and SoThink for this software. I am very happy to have the upgraded version.

6. Good stuff here today. Install, registered & runs beautifully on my Vista system. no aggravating the system at all. No need to run as administrator either. I don’t take many give aways & very, very seldom one without a key code supplied. This one has such a code & it was no problems at all activating it.The user name must be Giveawayoftheday & must be exact for anyone having issues.
This baby will come in handy. Trust me, it’s not something I’d pay for but as a free give away today, I must say it’s a quality piece of software that most assuredly had a real pro write it’s code. Well done GOTD & Sothink. Come back anytime. I’ll be looking forward to your next offer.

Comment by The Sports Fan

7. As mentioned before, this is not an editor, but an extractor…
Loaded on XP Professional SP3… My security programs complained because this software addresses the hard drive by a physical address instead of a logical address… It also builds hooks into IE for the capture process…
Registration was a breeze… Start the program and copy the name and key from the readme.txt file…
So far, it appears to be a nice program to add to your collection if you need something to extract pieces from flash…

Regards -Bob

8. GAOTD Team if you can get there DHTML Menu I would be grateful. Plz ask for it.
Thumbs up. Thanks.

Taken from Giveaway of the Day

A Quickview on Flash SWF Decompiler 5.0

Professional Flash SWF Decompiler easily decompiles SWF to FLA and extracts elements from Flash movie. It supports decompiling SWF to FLA, and extracting all the elements in batch mode. Flash SWF Decompiler supports Flash 6, Flash MX 2004 (7.0), Flash 8, Flash CS3 (9.0) and Flash CS4 (10.0), and compatible with ActionScript 2.0 and 3.0. Flash SWF Decompiler converts SWF to FLA, which gets the required FLA version. Almost all the elements in Flash can be exported to SWF, FLA or other popular formats.

Below is the available output element formats:

1 . ActionScript as AS, BIN or HTML format;
2. Sounds as SWF, FLA, MP3 or WAV format;
3. Images as SWF, FLA, JPEG, BMP or PNG format,
4. Videos as SWF, FLA or FLV format,
5. Shapes as SWF, FLA or GLS format, etc.

To make Flash SWF Decompiler more appealing, SWF Catcher is offered. It is a free tool that can capture Flash movies online from Internet Explorer or Firefox, and then convert Flash SWF movie into FLA in Flash SWF Decompiler.

Is it a wonderful SWF to FLA tool? Have a try SWF decompiler right now; you will get the same user experience with above users.

It’s glad to know that Sothink free Firefox plug-in for catching Flash has attracted more and more users. And recently editor of Download.com gave nice review to Sothink SWF Catcher for Firefox. It should be the helpful information when you need to make a choice from several Flash catcher products:

“If you think Flash is the grooviest thing to come along since sliced bread, this Firefox add-on will suit you nicely. Sothink SWF Catcher for Firefox is for folks who like All Things Flash. Launching the utility from the Tools menu opens a vertical pane on the left side of the Firefox window adorned only by a simple menu. When we visited a site with embedded Flash flicks–whether e-cards, games, or other items–Sothink listed the items by name in the vertical pane. We were able to add URL and size details to the list easily by clicking options from a drop-down list on the panes’ menu bar. We were able to save the items to a folder of our choice by right-clicking the item’s name in the list.

This free tool doesn’t offer any features beyond what we’ve described here, but it performed quickly in all our tests, and it’s pleasingly simple to use. Any Firefox user interested in compiling a Flash library will find Sothink SWF Catcher for Firefox a handy little tool.”

Thanks for the review and we would like to get more reviews and know what you think about Sothink SWF Catcher.
