I am using the FlashVideo Encoder 1.1, Build: 50913 an connot convert files. I am trying to convert .WMV files to .flv or swf.
My system specs are Windows XP with 512MB RAM. When I try to convert files FlashVideo Encoder 1.1, Build: 50913 crashes. I think because my my hard drive is letter F and not C this might be causing the crash.
Help me please.

Hello,

Please provide us your wmv file and we will have a try later on our computer and see if we can reproduce the problem.
If your wmv file is too large, please send a request to support@sothink.com and our supporters will tell you the method about how to send us the vedio files with large size.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Could you please tell me whether you get the problem when you tried to convert other video files with different formats, such as avi, mov, etc? Or the problem only occurs for one specified file?

Please tell us where did you upload the wma file, if you could provide the file for us to have a check, it will be helpful for us to further on this problem.

If your wmv file is too large, please send a request to support@sothink.com and our supporters will tell you the method about how to send us the vedio files with large size.

Thanks in advance.

I am trying to encode a 16min video to an FLV file, but the program keeps closing. This only affects FLV, not SWF

Have tried to encode to FLV from:
720x486 uncompressed AVI
320x240 Quicktime
320x240 WMV 300kb

The AVI file crashes immeadiately, the 320x240 files run for about 10 minutes, the crash.

System is 3.3ghz HP 4100 Workstation with Win XP Pro and 1gb ram.

I just fired off an email to tech support on this very issue THEN I found the forum - figures.

I am having the same problem on various videos - larger videos.

I have a Dual core 3gig processing; 4 gigs of memory; 120 gigs of storage running XP.

I have tried to use the encoder to FLV but when it reaches 67.7%, it crashes.

I just thought I would throw my hat in on the issue - hopefully the new version will get around this problem.

What is the eta for the new version?

Edited to include a snapshot of the error the program produces upon it's beginning to create the .flv. Video and sound passes in all cases it's only when the .flv sequence begins that causes the program to crash.
