Hello,

I saw another post on this error but no solution was provided. I am on Windows 2003 with the latest service packs.

The complete error...

Error: Unrecognizable file format: D:\wwwroot\test\upload\files\{14BE5F8D-677B-46E6-A3DA-5BDA1E1856DE}.mov.
Error: failed to encode the file. The exit code is 1.

I have tried this with an .AVI and .MOV file. neither worked and produce the same error.

However, I have an identical server that I am having no problems with these files and encodes just fine.

Any insight as to what the error message means? Or possible resolutions?

Thanks in advance.
Joey

Hi JoeyD

If you have encountered the error message:
Quote:
Error: failed to encode the file. The exit code is 1.

It refers to the conversion failed. Please check whether you have installed the product properly on your server. Please take our User Manual > Video Hosting Site Setup Guide for detailed information, Please do follow each steps illustrated there to set your own site.

And in order to convert .mov file successfully, you need to install QuickTime 6.0 (or above) on your server, please recheck.

Hope this helps and if you still have problem, please inform us of your web site URL for further check.

Thanks!
