Hello,

I am using the registered version of the flash encoder but I am new to embedded flash so please forgive me if this is a dumb question:

I put up a video here:

http://www.tiger21.com/video/tigersquawk.htm

the htm file is simple:

Code:
<body bgcolor="#ffffff">
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" width="354" height="308" align="middle">
   <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain">
   <param name="movie" value="tigersquawk.swf">
   <param name="quality" value="high">
   <param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff">
   <embed src="tigersquawk.swf" quality="high"  align="middle" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="354" height="308" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">
</object>
</body>

The swf and flv are in the same folder. Why is it not working?

Thanks,

Paul.

Hello Paul,

We have tried to check the flv file according to the link you provided, but we did not find the file as the following link:
http://www.tiger21.com/video/tigersquawk.flv

Could you please check whether you have uploaded the flv file to the correct directory, and is it tigersquawk.flv?

Thanks a lot and have a nice day.

This is an IIS6 Web site and the folder "video" is a virtual directory that resides on another drive. Are there any known issues configuring flash to work in a virtual directory? The FLV file is indeed there.

I figured it out. I needed to add the flv extension to the list of mimetypes in IIS6 configuration.
