FLV Reconversion

I recently had to reformat my computer. Before I did I used to be able to drag an already created flv file onto the program window and it would allow me to create a swf file for it. Now that I have reinstalled my os and the program I can no longer re-encode flv files and the programs says its not a allowed file extension.

I am not crazy! I really was able to drop flv files from youtube right onto the program window and make my own swf files from them using the program.

Was there some special decoder that allowed me to do this? If so how can I get the ability to make flv an allowed extension again.

Do not reply here and say flv was not allowed! I can show you many videos that I have encoded from captured flv right from youtube that I have made! So there is a way!

HELP! LOL

Hi yotsume,

Do you refer to Video Encoder for Adobe Flash?

When you import a .flv into Video Encoder for Adobe Flash directly, the file format can not be recognized properly.

If you would like to use the SWF player provided by Video Encoder for Adobe Flash to load your .flv file, you can try the method followed:

Please import any video file into Video Encoder for Adobe Flash, and convert it into .flv file, and we suggest you choose "Get the FLV path from a URL variable and play progressively" type to generate .flv and the SWF player, and then you will able to invoke any of your .flv files from the SWF player.

You can go to Help > Advanced Usage > Get the FLV path from a URL variable and play progressively for detailed information!

Hope this helps and have a nice day!
