When I convert my .mov to an flv file all is well except it doesn't create a non black thumbnail I have chosing a non-black thumbnial from the thumbnail options but I still get just the skin with a black image. So, I created my own image and name it the same as the one the converter created and still get the same. Hoping someone can direct me to what I am doing wrong.

Thank you

I've learned a little more about my issue.

It does create a thumbnail. I was wrong in that respect, but it does not apply it to the SWF. I downloaded a sample swf that tech support gave me and I see a line that looks like this:

<param name="movie" value="loader.swf?Thumbnail=thumbnail.jpg&ThumbnailWidth=320&ThumbnailHeight=240&flv=play.flv">

But in my swf I get <param name="movie" value="test.swf">, even though it creates the thumbnail. I've tried appending my file with the string above from the ? using my pertinent info and I still get nothing but a black screen.

Do I have to append this file externally from the encoder to get it to use the thumbnail or am I missing something?

Really would appreciate any help I can can

Hi there,

We are producing an online tutorial about using the thumbnail in player of video, and it may take several days!

After we finish it, we will let you know here!

Please also keep an eye on our web site.

Thanks a lot for your understanding.

:)

I've tried numerous times to get this to work but it does not. I even edited the HTML and added the 'Thumbnail' code but it just does not work.

Someone from Support please help with this.

I did view that tutorial but that replaces the entire player with an image. With this solution, after the movie is played, the same black frame (in my case) will be displayed when the movie has finished playing or when the stop button is clicked.

I want to change just the "poster frame" displayed in the player so the player is still visible.

Is this possible with Sothink Video Encoder for Adobe Flash or with SWF Quicker? I use the same .swf file for all of my .flv files.
