While lately building some mootools functionality into my site I've discovered a conflict between it and the tree menu script, if mootools is loaded in the head of the document. If mootools is loaded in the body, no such problem. When the scripts both appear in the head, errors are thrown and the tree menu fails to write to the page.

Is anyone familiar with this conflict and were they able to overcome it without having to load mootools in the body after the tree menu scripts load?

Here are the errors popping:

From sttree.js
link.replace is not a function
init()()sttree.js (line 3)
init()()sttree.js (line 3)
init()()sttree.js (line 3)
init()()sttree.js (line 3)
init()()sttree.js (line 3)
eval()()pHkvMztV...BhQ%3D%3D (line 1)
push()()stlib.js (line 3)
stapp.js()()stapp.js (line 3)
[Break on this error] if(typeof _STJS!="undefined"){_STJS._STT...pDate();}}}}}}};};_STJS._STTREE.init();}

From stlib.js
userAgentButton is null
push()(function())stlib.js (line 3)
push()(function(), "_self", Window secondary.php, 0)stlib.js (line 3)
init()()sttree.js (line 3)
(?)()()secondary.php (line 3)
push()()stlib.js (line 3)
push()()stlib.js (line 3)
[Break on this error] if(typeof _STJS=="undefined"){if(!Array....JS.checkPage);setLoad();styleShield();}}

Along with this helpful bit of advice: Use of getBoxObjectFor() is deprecated. Try to use element.getBoundingClientRect() if possible.

All from the firebug plugin for Firefox.

As I say, if I load mootools in the body, none of these errors occur. It also doesn't matter which order I load the scripts. If they are both in the head, treemenu throws these errors and doesn't work.
