Folks, I'm converting a Flash5 swf (a short animated movie) to video and the the output avi vid is upside down. Otherwise, it is fine.

Any tips on what to do about this? I have tried several output settings, including divix and mpeg3. Same result.

Maybe DirectVobSub is active, or other similar filters.

I am using version 2.4 of the app. I was able to get a suitable output by enabling VHQ mode and Motion search precision in the Xvid settings. Not sure why this helped my "upside down" problem, but it worked.

Well, I thought I was home free... but this output file is again "flipping" upside down when I attempt to encode it as an flv in Sorenson Squeeze.

Here's the story:

I used the Sothink SWF to Video converter (v2.4) to record an avi from an SWF. The first few tries, I got "upside down" output from it, but finally I got a suitable output with the following settings:

XVID codec, 10000 kbps, Motion precision: Ultra High, VHQ mode: 4

This produced a "right side up" avi that looked and sounded good.

Now, when trying to convert to an FLV using Sorenson Squeeze, I am getting an upside down output file. I am using the on2VP6 codec with standard 700kbps settings.

Any thoughts? This surely must be codec-related, right? I will email the starting file to the admin, as requested above in this post. Thanks for looking.

Hi there,

We would like to know whether the issue occurs when you convert all the SWF files?

If it is, please reinstall the program to resolve the issue.

And if it isn't, we hope you can provide us with the SWF file as well as your operation system for us to reproduce the issue.

Thank you very much!
