Hello,

I purchased SoThink SWF to video on the recommendation of the Adobe website. However, whenever I try to convert my Captivate 2 .swf into an .mp4 file for the iPod, only the first few seconds of the video is converted. Here are some additional details:

1. The slide presentation is 13 slides long
2. The slides include audio and animation on each slide

Suggested courses of action:

1. Would it be better to start the .swf with a static slide; that is, with no animation or audio?
2. If you do not have the option of "Stereo Mix" on your computer, what is the recommended audio setting? Could the fact that I do not have "Stereo Mix" as a option on my machine be causing the trouble?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello phatch,

Sorry for the reply delayed!

Could you please tell us your issue "Static slide" more specifically? Sorry for that I am not quite sure about this isue.

If you do not want the audio of the file, you can choose "No audio" option under Audio settings in Conversion Parameters wizard page.

If you do not have "Stereo Mix" option, you can use "No audio" or "import from an exsiting file" option. Could you please tell us the OS on your computer? Have you checked Show Disabled Devices in sound Recording panel?

If we can be further help, please feel free to contact us by submiting a ticket from following link:

Thanks a lot and have a nice day. :D

Hi Sophia,

Thanks for your response--I have sent in a ticket on this issue and I know that you are reviewing the file.

Here are the answers to your questions:

1. Here is what I mean by "static." My first slide contains animation and audio. I was wondering if I remove both the audio and animation from this first slide would help SoThink get past that slide and convert it along with the rest of th slides into the .mp4.

2. I would like to have my audio converted, just as I recorded it in Captivate. I was asking if that is possible, or do I need to use a different application to record my audio and import that file when converting the Captivate .swf into .mp4 using SoThink.

3. I am using Windows XP on my computer. There is no option to "Show Disabled Devices" on my Recording Panel.

I hope this information is helpful to you

Thanks!

Hello phatch,

I have checked our email, but sorry for that we have not received your swf file until now. Could you please have a check?

1. Referring the issue about the video is not converted completely, please go to Conversion Parameters wizard page, and check whether you have checked "Auto and caputre after" box under Caputer settings box. If you have, please uncheck it to solve this problem.

2. And "Stereo Mix" options, have you checked the following steps provided on our website?

You can double-click "Volume" icon on Windows Taskbar to open the Volume/Recording Control panel. Please choose Options>Properties, and check "Recording" under "Adjust volume for", then you will find "Stereo Mix" funtion under "Show the following volume controls". Please enable it and click OK to confirm it.

If you still can not find "Stereo Mix" option according the above steps, you can choose "Midi" to record dound if you are a use of Sound blaster. Hope that helps.

If we can be further help, please feel free to contact us.

Have a nice day. :D

Hi Sophia,

Unchecking the box solved the problem--thanks very much! The program is now converting all of the slides.

Thanks also for the advice concerning the audio--this too is now working!
