I have published a standalone menu. Now I want to make some additions to the menu. How do I do this other than hand coding the js file?
?? Linda

Hi Linda,

Open the menu's .pgt file in the DHTML Menu program, make any desired changes to the menu, save the .pgt file, use the Fast Publish option (Ctrl + J) to publish a new JavaScript file, and upload the new JavaScript file to your server. It's also a good idea to upload the new .pgt file. That way you always have a backup of the .pgt file.

Bill

Darn, that's a problem. I guess I didn't save the .pgt when I published the js. Any easy work around now? Could I cut and past in a blank notebook file and save as a .pgt, and then open in Dhtml Menu?
:( Linda

No, Linda, there's no easy workaround. If you send the JavaScript file and your registration information to support@sothink.com they may be able to recreate a .pgt file for you.

Thanks, Bill.
I will see if support can help me as it is a complicated menu and I would hate to have to redo it. I have learned a good lesson! Save those pgt files before you publish.

Just a follow up... I did send support the js file and within hours, they replied with a .pgt file.

Thanks again Bill! (and thanks to the Sothink support team)

I'm glad they were able to help you so quickly. It's a good to save the .pgt file periodically as you're developing a menu and just before you exit the program.
