I've just installed Tree Menu 1.0, and checked the box for installing the Dreamweaver extension. However I get this error message from Macromedia Extension manager when I click the "Accept" button.

I assume that it is the extension from HTML Menu it conflicts with, are they using the same one? In that case, will the existing one work with Tree Menu right away? And what if both programs are open at the same time?

Hello rado,

Could you please tell us the OS and the version of Dreamweaver on your computer? Since we have checked it on our computer and did not find the problem.

Please also check whether you are using the latest version of Sothink Widgets Dreamweaver Extension 2.3.0 on your computer.

Thanks in advance for your co-operation!

Hi,

It's windows 2000 SP4 and Dreamweaver 8

But the extension I currently have installed is only 2.2.0?

Hello rado,

Could you please use the latest version of DWSothink.mxp in the attachment to replace the original one on your computer first?

Then you can install Dreamweaver Extention for Tree Menu manually, here are the steps:

1. Launch Macromedia Dreamweaver;
2. Choose Help > Manage extensions;
3. In Macromedia Extension Manager, choose Sothink Widgets, then click File>Remove Extension to remove it.
4. Choose File > Install Extension;
5. Select \Program Files\Common Files\SourceTec\Dreamweaver\DWSothink.mxp and click "Install".

Please check whether the above steps will be helpful to solve your problem.

If there is problem, please feel free to contact us.

Hi Sophia,

Thanks, got 2.3.0 installed now.

Actually, by accident I found an easier way to install it: simply double click the dwsothink.mxp file, and the Dreamweaver extension manager will open and ask if you want to replace the old one with the new one. Click "Yes" and you're done.

Thanks again :)
