I have version 5.2 (Trial) installed on my mac, but I want to downgrade to 4.5. I have the installer, but when I try to install it says it can't because there is a newer version installed on my machine... i've deleted the new version yet it continues to tell me there is a newer version. How do i completely uninstall the SWF Decompiler?

I'd also like to remove the installed version. Im on a demo, but would like to get rid it - completely. Could you please supply me with the location of the install log or a list of all installed files and directories?

Many thanks

To uninstall Sothink SWF Decompiler for Mac, you could drag the icon of the program to the recycle bin and then empty the recycle bin.

Actually, the uninstallation of Sothink SWF Decompiler for Mac is just the same as the uninstallation of the other programs on your Mac.

Please just let us know if we can be of any further help.

Have a nice day!

Honestly if it were as simple as that then @vtcajones who started this thread wouldn't be having any issues. Surely the installer is creating resources in the library etc?

Ya good luck with that. They dont want to let you know what the package installed. Shady to say the least. I'd stay away from this co's products.

Did you refer to install Sothink SWF Decompiler for Mac V4.5?

We suggest you open the terminal, and then input the following two command language:

cd /Library/Receipts/

ls > ~/sothink_name.txt

Then, you will be directed to your user home directory, and open sothink_name.txt file under this directory, and then delete all the information regarding swfdec_Mac or Sothink SWF Decompiler for Mac.

Lastly, please reinstall Sothink SWF Decompiler for Mac 4.5 for a try.

If the above does not help, please provide the sothink_name.txt for us to have a check.

Honestly - @SharonLee - that's all I wanted - to remove your product. Now that that package is gone, was there anything else?
