Hi,

I bought this tool because the general information said:

Sothink SWF Decompiler can extract the video file from a Flash movie and export it in *.flv format.

this is exactly what I want. I have .swf file and I want to turn it into a .FLV file....

but al I am getting is a .fla file.

any help on what i am missing here?

Hi there,

Sorry that SWF Decompiler can not convert video into FLV file, and it is a professional tool to convert SWF to FLA

We suggest you try our SWF to Video Converter program.

Thanks for your understanding.

How does it convert to flv? I don't see flv as an output format.

It isn't the "output" format. It converts flv files to a usable format such as avi.[/quote]

My question was how to convert swf to flv. swf format is the input format, not flv.

.flv is a video format. People think of .flv as a video format, not as a swf decompiled file. .fla is. I use other video converters and they output to .flv. They are considered video converters, not swf decompilers.

There are .flv players out there. Why? Because .flv is a video format.

If .flv is not a video format then what is it?
