Hi. I am a complete action script novice, so please bear with me.

I have a swf which, when loaded into Captivate/Articulate e-learning applications causes a warning that there are references to "_root". I want to edit out those references and change them to "_parent" in Sothink Quicker.

When I imported the swf into Quicker, it asked me to save the .as files in a separate folder, which I did. These folders were automatically named mx->transitions-> easing, with .as file names like "BroadcasterMX.as "OnEnterFrameBeacon.as" and "Tween.as".

Through fiddling with Quicker, I have established that "OnEnterFrameBeacon.as" has a _root reference, as does the 'action layer' within the swf. I have changed both, and loaded the published swf into Captivate, but it doesn't automatically play any more (It did before). Now you must stop the Captivate playbar and start it again, at which point the swf plays perfectly.

Any ideas what I did wrong?

Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

Please ignore the above. It is not the swf, it is Captivate. The file auto plays in another Captivate project.
