Having headaches using packages with Quicker.

Basic empty class as
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
package {

import flash.display.MovieClip;

public class test extends MovieClip
{

public function test():void
{
//CONSTRUCTOR CODE
}
}
}
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Applied as base class to a blank as3 movieclip (yep all settings checked) and it crashes everytime. Checking the syntax also creates a crash when a movieclip is open. When just the class is open it displays a syntax error on 'package {' ?!

I'm having the exact same problem. I submitted a support ticket but haven't heard back from anyone yet. Maybe you should submit a ticket too and whoever hears back from them first can post their reply.

Glad to see I'm not alone - I've tried reinstalling afresh a few times, reg clean as I was beginning to think my installation was corrupt. I've only recently moved the code outside of the timeline into a package so don't even know if it was working properly before the latest update? Neither is there an option to roll back.

Dropped an email to support yesterday, but nothing back as yet - or a ticket - does support issue tickets via email, or is there a form somewhere I've missed? Really need this sorting asap

Hi both,
sorry not to help you, but I still use a single internal mega pack. I started to learn AS2 and only then moved to AS3, but recoded everything in a similar way to AS2.

Indeed I use an external pack provided by third part and it works (I'm not sure how.. :shock: ), but I still run a Quicker previous version because it works as it is and don't want to risk to pass to the current one, even if it is free for me. :oops:

I'll follow your progress though. :mrgreen:

I finally heard back from them, but they couldn't duplicate the issue. Basically they told me to try un-installing and re-installing. I tried it on three different machines - two running Windows 7 64 bit and one Windows 7 32 bit - but it did the same thing on all of them. I sent them my project file and they said that they got it to work in their environment without crashing, so I don't know what's happening. I ended up returning the software for a full refund, but I had to go through Avangate because Sothink wasn't answering my emails requesting a refund. :( I hope you have better luck than I did.

Thanks for the update, development of my project has moved to Flash (partly because of this) so may seek out a refund if possible. Still heard no reply myself, so not satisfied to be honest :(

I badgered them for nearly a week about it and never heard anything until I went through Avangate. They sent an email to Sothink telling them to either agree to the refund request or to contact me to try to resolve the issue. In the email, they said

"Please note that if an answer is not received in a timely manner, we
will consider that you agree to this refund request, and we will proceed
with the cancellation of the above mentioned order, based on the
customer's request."

After that, Sothink replied to me the very same day with some lame excuse about their website undergoing maintenance. Very disappointed in Sothink's customer service. If you still haven't heard from them, I'd contact Avangate directly.
