How to extract pictures from SWF?
When we are about to generate a banner for site, we always have to construct its style before and prepare all the resource files for it, such as image, video or sound. So we usually collect and keep those suitable resources in library for future use.
What if we find a very appropriate image from other existed flash file and would like to use it into our own banner? Is there any method to extract it? Here, I recommend a tip for your reference.
Step 1 Capture flash
I recommend you a free tool, named SWF Catcher which can be added to IE browser, to capture online flash files. After the tool has been installed successfully, and now we would like to extract the book image from a banner here, we just need to launch the page in IE and choose SWF Catcher from Tools of IE tool bar and then the flash will be saved into the directory as specified on your local machine.

Step 2 Extract pictures
After the SWF has been downloaded on your PC, we need a program to parse and extract pictures from it, I believe we could try it with SWF Decompiler, which will help us to extract picture with clicks.
Firstly, load the SWF into the program;
Secondly, find the target image to check and click on Export Resources button to start extracting;
Picture extracted:
And now we have obtained the image desired, what we should do now is to import the picture into our own banner for use. From this point, I still suggest you use this SWF Decompiler, which offers replace function, and I believe it is actually a bonus added to the software. We can just highlight the very image and then replace it with new image in clicks.
The original banner we made.
The new banner created.
