OTTAWA -- Canadas womens field hockey captain Katie Baker has retired. Nike Free 3.0 V3. The 28-year-old from Argyle Shore, P.E.I., played in 114 international matches, making her the eighth most capped female in Canadian field hockey. Bakers teammates and coaches credit the former ice hockey player with transforming the culture of the Canadian womens program. "She always told us to bring the best of ourselves in every practice, training session and game," Tyla Flexman, a recently retired member of the Canadian team, said in a release. "It was a privilege to train alongside (Baker). "She pushed, supported and picked myself and the team up to constantly drive the team forward through thick and thin." Baker, the teams captain since 2010, played in both the 2007 and 2011 Pan American Games and the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Her final appearance was at the Olympic qualifying tournament last February in India. Canada didnt earn a berth at the London Olympics. Baker plans to pursue a career in social work. "I know it is time, because field hockey is no longer my No. 1 priority," Baker said. "Knowing this in my head and my heart, I know it is the right decision to move on." Nike Free Run+ 2 Laufschuhe Dunkel Grau Lila Weiß. The players sent a letter to U.S. District Judge Patrick Schiltz on Monday. The letter informs the judge that the two sides have reached a tentative agreement to resolve their labour dispute, including lawsuits filed in Minnesota by the players and in New York by the owners. Nike Free 3.0 Amphibious Laufschuhe Lila. "I am extremely excited to play for such a well-respected organization in the Buffalo Bandits," said Cosmo. "I am humbled by the opportunity to play for a coach like Darris Kilgour and what are clearly the most passionate fans in the NLL. http://www.nikefreeschweiz.ch/nike-free-3-0-run+-2s-gs-85/. So have the crunch-time minutes and the victories for his Minnesota Timberwolves. That all adds up to one frustrated point guard. Nike Free 3.0 V4 Laufschuhe Lila Grau. "Didnt really ever expect to play with Ovie, but Im enjoying it." Joey Crabb, the third member of the line, was also taken aback. "A little surprised, but, I mean, Im just going to try and play my game," said Crabb, who signed with Washington in the off-season. "Im not going to try and think about it too much and try and do too many backdoor plays although itd be nice if I do. Nike Free 6.0 Laufschuhe Rosa Blau Weiß. Brooks, picked 25th overall by Boston in 2011 and traded to the New Jersey Nets, averaged 12.6 points and 3.6 rebounds while appearing in 56 games of the abbreviated 66-game season. Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - Jason Spezza recorded a goal and three assists as the Ottawa Senators postponed the Flyers division-clinching hopes with a 5-2 decision over Philadelphia at Scotiabank Place. We played great 5-on-5, we got some trouble early that gave them momentum but we started off pretty good, said Spezza. Those special-teams goals are always nice and give you some confidence. It was just a good all-around game. Milan Michalek, Bobby Butler and Nick Foligno also hit the net for the Senators, who have won two of three. Craig Anderson won with 27 saves. Mike Richards notched both goals for the Flyers, who could have taken the Atlantic with a win and a Penguins loss. However, Pittsburghs 4-2 win over New Jersey made it a one-point race for the top spot with two games remaining. Sergei Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 35 shots as Philly also dropped out of first in the Eastern Conference after Washingtons 3-2 shootout win at Toronto. The Capitals now have 105 points and the Flyers are two points behind. Butler notched the game-winning goal on a breakaway with 14 seconds left in the second period, just over a minute after Ryan Shannons power-play tally, and the home team led 3-2 after two. Spezza then cranked home Ottawas third power--play goal of the contest, at 8:02 of the third period and the Senators put a stranglehold on the game. Nike Free Schweiz Bobrovsky was pulled for an extra skater with over 90 seconds remaining, then Michalek scored into the empty net shortly thereafter. We lost our intensity and lost the focus for these games (against lesser opponents), said Richards, the Flyers captain. This effort was led by me. Ive gotta change and its gonna change starting in the playoffs. Richards found a loose puck in the slot and slammed it home on a power play 3:40 into the contest, but Foligno potted a rebound on an Ottawa advantage at 15:37. Both clubs tallied on the power play in the second period as Richards ripped a one-timer home from the bottom of the left circle off a dish from Nikolay Zherdev with 4:02 left, but the Sens equalized on a Shannon point shot with 1:18 remaining. GAME NOTES:The season series ended up tied at 2-2-0, with both clubs winning twice on home ice...Richards snapped a six-game goal drought and posted his first multi-goal effort since January 20 in a 6-2 win over Ottawa...The Flyers have not won in Canadas capital since November 24, 2007...Philadelphia ends its regular-season slate at Buffalo on Friday and by hosting the Islanders on Saturday.
