I purchased the flashvideo encoder today.

I have been trying to save a avi video from my digital video camera to a swf file. I get the first few video frames and the whole audio section.

Why is this?

I want to be able to get the whole video.

Thank You
J

Hi Gracie,

Please have your tech support answer my questions concerning the problem with FlashVideo Encoder 1.1, Build: 50913 is crashing ( demo version )

I contacted them last week and still have not received any answers:

----------------------------------------------
Hello:

I am currently testing the demo version and notice the program crashes when trying convert avi or mpeg to flv. I am using very large files that over 100MB. I have also re-downloaded the demo version on other computers and can produce the same problem. My mpeg or avi files are very large. The program DOES NOT crash when using smaller files! I really want to buy the program if it works with very large files. I was able to produce this problem on other computers running Windows XP w512MB RAM and higher with the demo version. ANY suggestions? My original files are rm files converted to mpeg or avi. These files are very large files that are from 15MB - 100MB. The program DOES NOT crash when using smaller files mpeg or avi to flv!

ALL of the files I am using are rm files converted to swf or flv. Some of the files are larger than 500MB when converted to avi or mpeg!

Here are the steps I am using:

1. use rm converter to convert file to avi or mpeg

then use Flash Video Encoder 1.1 to convert avi or mpeg file
Flash Video Encoder crashes but produces flv file ( small file )
When I play the file the video is not displaying properly.

Ie: http://www.ucgfeasts.org/index3.htm

When using small files, I do not get the same result. The program does not crash.

If you need the converted file(s) please send me FTP access to upload the file for testing. I will upload avi or mpeg for testing this problem.
