How to make a Pop-up with javascript in Sothink SWF Quicker ?

let say we have main movie propety width 600 and height 500 and we have a button on stage, and when we click on button it will pop up a new windows on top of main movie with width 400 and height 300?

I was actually looking for this and I made a demonstration how to do it in Sothink SWF Quicker.

well actually this code works but new windows goes at back of main movie

on(release) {
getURL(incomingAd, "_blank");
}

the advantage of following code, first of all the popups it apear on top of main movie and as you see it has more options

The following code required for demo.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
on (release) {
getURL ("javascript:NewWindow=window.open('main.html','main','width=400,height=300,left=0,top=0,toolbar=No,location=No,scrollbars=No,status=No,resizable=No,fullscreen=No');
void(0);");
}

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

insteas of "main.html "you can add "main.swf" file as well.
watch the demo here

http://www.feizsite.com/Sothink/Quicker ... op_UP.html

test it
http://www.feizsite.com/Sothink/Quicker ... index.html

and if you want the pop up appear almost in center use this code:

on (release)
{
getURL("javascript:NewWindow=window.open(\'main.html\',\'main\',\'width=400,height=300,left=250,top=200,toolbar=No,location=No,scrollbars=No,status=No,resizable=No,fullscreen=No\'); \nvoid(0);", "");
}

hope you enjoy it.

the reason why I'm asking is this

have a look on this html sample
and there you can see that the
button click event is for html.

however I don't know the corresponding
action script.

Thanks in advance

Ian

I managed to fine a tutorial I made long ago for this , here it is, enjoy it.

I guess it will work only IE as I have not tested with any other browser.
