F.A.Q. --- Sothink SWF Decompiler for Mac
- Before purchase it, can I send my file to you for a test?
Yes, we will decompile or convert it with the latest version of the program, and tell you the test result, but the generated FLA can not be sent to you.
Our email address: support@sothink.com
- What are limitations of the free trial version?
1. Exporting video resources is disabled.
2. Only 2 resources in each category can be exported.
3. Copying and Pasting actionscript are disabled.
4. Can not save the Flash file whose elements are replaced by the program.
- The program crashes when I try to decompile or convert a Flash file.
Please provide us with some more detailed information as follows:
1. Does the error happen to all files or some specific ones? If it is the latter, please send your file to us.
2. Which operating system do you use?
3. Which version of SWF Decompiler for Mac do you use?
4. If there is any error massage popping up, a screenshot or a copy of the error report will be much appreciated.
- Why does the font in the Flash change after being exported as FLA, and how can I avoid the problem?
That is because the program can not recognize the font which does not exist in its font database. To avoid the problem, please enable the option "Convert static text to shape" in the window popping up after you click the button "Export".
- Why does my SWF file fail to be converted to HTML5?
The program currently does not support converting SWF which contains actionscript 2.0/3.0, video, sound and button to HTML5. This function will be improved in future.
- How can I upload the generated HTML5 animation to my website?
Please put the generated JS file in the same directory as the HTML5 file, then insert the following codes to your web page.
<td><iframe src="xxx.html" width="xxx" height="xxx" frameborder="0"></iframe></td>
